Lo Stella Ristorante

We’ve been to Lo Stella a few times and each time it’s been impressive. The specials here are indeed special and always worth getting. The last time, we had salt crusted sea bass that was as moist as they came. Today, we got the elk carpaccio special, which made me an elk believer. The meat was incredibly tender and sweet and seasoned perfectly, combined with the slightly sweet berry sauce and the tart orange, it’s a light but really tasty bite. I think the real star was the fish ravioli and shrimp sauce, perhaps one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Each bite of the pasta with the parsley and the creamy sauce gives this little, very subtle…fragrance; it was just like magic.

I’m usually reluctant to post any sort of negativity online but my girlfriend’s and I experience was so terrible here. We went here on a Wednesday night (4/20). There were 2 people at the bar and 2 tables in the dining room. the bartender was serving us in the dining room, she was sweet and nice. However we ordered simple dishes with no modifications, the bolognese and spaghetti. After 35 minutes, we finally said something, 10 minutes later we received under cooked spaghetti noodles and bolognese that had little noodles compared to the mountain of beef on top. My girlfriend could barely eat it. We left after a few bites an threw the rest away. We weren’t offered any type of compensation. We left and paid the full bill when we absolutely shouldn’t have (wasn’t my decision). At this point the server shouldn’t been able to pick up on our experience. For the price and service- we left disappointed and hope no one else experiences this service

Authentic tasting Italian food, this place has a cool hip vibe. A wonderful place to relax after work or on the weekend! Every dish we have gotten has been exquisite and delicious!
