Little Nickel

Great little place with a unique menu and atmosphere. I got the burger and coleslaw. Service was fast and friendly. I would've given 5 stars but my food wasn't hot enough. It was exceptionally busy, though. I'll be returning!

I love the funky, tropical decor in this stylish, intimate neighborhood diner-like restaurant. Parking is in the rear. Outside dining helps to handle the steady flow of customers who make Little Nickel so popular. Inside seating may be at cozy, retro vinyl-upholstered booths, tables or at the counter/bar. The food is outstanding and size portion is amazingly generous. We all loved our entrées, but barely made a dent in them. I had the lamb cheesesteak w thin crispy fries, the others ordered Satina Salad and Chicken Bowl. We wholeheartedly agreed that we would come back and maybe split the entrée and still have plenty.

This restaurant was really impressive! From atmosphere to the food/ drinks. It was my first time checking this place out. Normally I don't leave Richmond city very often but this was worth the short drive. They have a wonderful patio in the front of the restaurant but a somewhat cramped interior dining room. When people wait for the their tables, it can get a little congested. There is a small parking lot in the back with a bigger parking lot about 30 feet further away. I had the fish plate and it was great! My girlfriend had a salad with tofu! Only issue I have is the prices are kinda expensive. However, I definitely recommend!!
