Lefty's Pizza Kitchen

First two visits were awesome. 3rd not so good. First, we ordered and waited. They brought my son's Italian Beef. We told him to start eating. Waited and they brought a salad that wasn't " chopped or mixed. Then my girlfriend had been waiting for thin-crust pizza 25 minutes and they had boxed it for pick up. It was unorganized and the pizza was burnt. She asked for a refund which since she paid cash had a problem for over 20 minutes until a driver came in and paid her. I was very disappointed with our experience.

Probably the best restaurant in highland park in terms of overall quality for price paid and customer service. The pizza is well balanced in flavor to the point where I just order cheese at this point- it really is perfect in its simplest form. They also have a great fry seasoning if you are picking up from close by (otherwise soggy fries which are unavoidable). More than anything, I think the staff are incredible at lefty’s. The people at the register are attentive, quick, and those I’ve chatted with are down to earth and personable which makes a huge difference in what I’ve found to be a rather grumpy town. Can’t recommend it enough! I think I’m averaging 1 carry out order a week, and I’m not the biggest pizza fan arrive around.

Food: The best pizza in Chicagoland. Service: The young people who work there were friendly and helpful. Price: I've paid way more for pizza with a lot less flavor and skimpy toppings. This pie is a good value. Overall: A must try! Bonus: They don't discriminate against anyone.
