Le Pain Quotidien

It is Saturday morning. They opened at 8am. I was welcomed and greeted right when I walked in. I was sat by a spirited manager named "Val". She has a very dynamic personality. She obviously loves her job and this restaurant. The servers are all professional and their dress attire is clean and all black. My coffee was perfectly brewed with bold sweet flavor. The mimosa was well balance with champagne and just the right amount of orange juice. The eggs in a skillet with tomato and avocado was earthy and delicious (though make sure you say how you would like your eggs cooked because I do not like runny yokes). All in all excellent! I had a very bad experience. I ordered a hot honey lemon ginger tea and what I got was lemon juice in a hot water. Too sour and I can only think they did this purposely. No honey or ginger. LEMON ACID AND WATER. And when i asked for more hot water, they threw away my sleeve into trash can and picked it up again and put it on my cup again. I will never come back here.

Visiting Americana shopping mall is a must if you visit or even live in Glendale. What makes it a bit challenging is where to eat some good without waiting for 300 hours! Le Pain Quotidien is one of the spots, So, imagine today wife was hangry (almost), All the big restaurants had a line; later at night we are invited to a party - so can’t eat much and wanted to stay at the Americana! Walked into Le Pain Quotidien, waited maybe One minute and the hostess gave us a table. As I mentioned we were invited invited to a party so something light … we ended up ordering soup of the day (Tomato Basil) which was great, but what was to die for !!!! Was the bread.. Rye and Super Seed ! I am telling you that is a MUST ! Next was dessert time, i ordered the Belgian Chocolate brownie and she ordered some other chocolate pastry, which were both kindda dry but great with the coffee. Their coffee is great too, freshly brewed and served VERY HOT ! It tastes nothing like old or cheap. I didn’t catch the n
