I'm a long time Lawrence's on Canal street,customer. I think this new location needs to have a little more training. They need to season more and try not to over cook the food. So hopefully they'll be just as good as Canal street. Great customer service.
Their Food used to be good when they first opened and when the oil was fresh... They fry all of the food in the same oil as they do the frog legs, etc. Their food tastes like a funky old pond.
Ehhh, I’ll support this location b/c it’s in the neighborhood✊????.Tuesday, 8/24/22, I ordered 1 pound of my favorite, lightly breaded large shrimp w/ hot & mild sauce. Unfortunately, I don’t believe my shrimp was seasoned nor fresh. They did just open so I’ll wait a few weeks to try again and update my review b/c I want to try the scallops & coconut shrimp; BUTTTT, in the meantime, in between time, I will GLADLY take that trip to the main location on 21st b/c they will NEVER disappoint! ???????????? Overall, I recommend trying this location at least.
