Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Having read the positive reviews on Yelp, I drove from McKinney with my daughter for dinner tonight (Monday). Website says they are open until 9:00 PM. We walked in at 8:10 and there were no customers. The guy in the kitchen tells another employee we're there. She comes out from the back and says the kitchen is closed. Again, it was 8:10! I said your website says you're open until 9:00. She just says the kitchen is closed. No "I'm so sorry" no "Please come back and see us again". I stood there waiting for some explanation and got nothing. We turned around and walked out. There are a lot of local restaurants trying to make it these days. This place literally didn't have a single customer and turned two people away that had driven over 20 minutes to have dinner. Needless to say, I will never go back and felt compelled to leave an honest, candid review so others would be better informed than we were.
The food is fresh and tastes great. The best part for me was spending money with a family business where the food and service exceeded my expectations. Came here based on the reviews. Will return because it’s amazing. I ordered a Mediterranean Plate which is a sampler of all the best things. My favorites were the falafel which is maybe the best I have eaten and the babaganoush.
La Shish is, by far, the best restaurant experience I have ever had. I highly recommend this family owned business. If you are looking for Amazing Mediterranean Cuisine and customer service that goes above and beyond with a smile, definitely try this place. I have food allergies and they are always willing to go the extra mile. This family run business treats you like family. Their heart, spirit, restaurant and food is the real deal and purely beautiful. Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies...very accommodating.
