Staying at the beach for a conference and stumbled across Las Barcas, maybe more serendipitous than stumbled. From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was not like my Mexican place back home. Every. Single. Thing was absolutely fantastic. The staff were wonderful and gave me an awesome recommendation for the protein in my burrito. I wish I could eat there every day. When I come back each year for my conference, Las Barcas will be my first stop. Thank you for the fantastic dinner.
This is perhaps the best Mexican food in the area. It is much more than “fast food Mexican”. It is on par with restaurant quality food at a cheaper price. The cooks know what they are doing and the food is amazingly fresh and more authentic than most of the other Mexican food places in Huntington Beach. It can take awhile to make the food because each order is made fresh by hand as it is ordered. There are about 10 tables if you choose to dine in and a refillable drink machine.
I don't think there's a better place for a burrito in all of Orange County! And the salsa is something you must get extra of- because you'll want to put it on EVERYTHING for the next week! (I mean EVERYTHING!)
