Lambert's Southern Pies & Bake Shop

Finally got the opportunity to stop in at Lambert's Southern Pie Shop. Now I wish I did this a lot sooner. It's a tiny shop in downtown Maryville, but big things come in small packages. The staff is super sweet. It's like being at your grandma's house with several grandma's. I got a piece of banana pudding pie that was to die for. It was over the top good. Vanilla wafers crust, fresh bananas, sweet custard like pudding and decadent whip cream. It was like a religious experience. I also got a pecan pie brownie that was equally good. A rich fudgy brownie with the inside of a pecan pie on top. It was absolutely brilliant. They have tons of different pies that you can buy whole or by the slice. I suggest a whole pie because once you taste it you're gonna want more. I cant recommend this place enough. They also serve lunch. I got to try the fried bologna sandwich. I'll be going back for lunch and more pie.

We went in for lunch not realizing they were primarily a bakery. We had their club sandwich which was served with chips and a pickle. The bread in the sandwich was very fresh (lightly toasted) and the sandwiches were great. If they had a soup of the day to go with their sandwich it would be even better. We then tried the Pecan pie with coffee for $6 and it was also very good. The atmosphere is nice and the people behind the counter were friendly, we will be back.

This place is... AMAZING! The people are so sweet. The shop is adorable. The treats are amazing and priced so well. The portions are great, too. We tried a handful of treats and everything was a solid 10/10. I highly recommend them! The photo is the pumpkin pie cheesecake, I did smush it a bit so sorry about that. The portion is huge. I'm not normal a pumpkin person but it was so good. It wasn't overly spiced and it wasn't aggressively cinnamony. Highly recommend it.
