Lakewood Grill is a must stop! . The food is great and service even better. Stephanie the bartender is a great and makes you feel like a regular. She’s the best bartender on Colfax!! I will go back just for her.
I've been eating the Paisano Pie for decades. It's so yummy!!! I love the staff, and there are a lot of friendly regulars. Now, if they'd just bring back the S.o.S. for breakfast <3. And Susan's Favorite. That sandwich is in my dreams. I wish I could remember all the ingredients. Vegetarian options: Harass them to bring back Susan's Favorite. The Best vegetarian sandwich I've ever had in my life.
As far as dive bars are concerned the ambience is just right, which means i wouldn't feel weird wearing a top hat and a trench coat inside. The wings had exotic names but the flavor left more to be desired. Good place to get blackout drunk.
