Being from New Mexico, I have a hard time finding a Mexican restaurant that I enjoy. La Tertulia was excellent. I had their combination plate and wasn't disappointed. The tamale was loaded with meat, the carne was tender, the posole was amazing, and most importantly, I was able to have green chili. I finished with a sopapilla that was hot and fresh. My only complaint was that the chips were hard and tasted like fritos. As of this post, they have not updated their online menu, so expect prices to be 3-5 dollars higher.
Best mexican we have had in along time. If you want something new instead of your standard tex mex this is your place! They were very accomodating when we ordered and even asked questions to ensure nothing came out on our plate we didn't want or expect (sauces and vegetables)! Will forsure visit often!
The food nor drinks were good. Don’t waste your money . My husband and I of 33 years rarely complain but both of us agreed that the food was so salty we could not eat it. The salsa had a Smokey hot flavor that neither of us could eat . We love salsa and spice! But this was not good . My husband had the burrito , I had the tamales . Neither were eatable . I had the blood orange margarita it was so -so. My husband ordered the classic margarita . He sent the first one back . The second one was worse ! I tasted both and agree . The guacamole was good . We seldom complain but didn’t want to pay $88.00 for food that was awful . Taco Bell would have been a better choice. However , the manager came out and was polite and took 50% off of our meal . We appreciated that but will not be returning .
