I went on a college tour around this restaurant and thought it would be a good place to stop and eat. The atmosphere was very off in my opinion, but nothing I wasn't used to. The service was friendly and fast for what it is. The appraiser Garlic cheese bread was very delicious and worthy of a trip back. The main course however, was much to be desired. It was overly salty and not much flavor for what it was. The sauce tasted like chef boyardee which wasn't what I was expecting. And the price was reasonable for two people so not many complaints there. But all around, I would recommend this place, just make sure to say light salt if you order the chicken parm.
We wanted some Italian and went down a random street. This was the 1st Italian restaurant we saw so we pulled in. I'm new to San Antonio. From the outside looking in looked small and cozy. Very limited parking but we found one. We walked in and 3 open tables. 2 had reserve signs on them the 3rd was open. Lady who came to talk to us was very nice (no complaints with her). She basically told us we needed reservations to eat that they were not taking walk ins.. no signage anywhere saying we needed to have reservations. Nothing outside or inside. Very horrible business practice if your going to need reservations to eat there, there should be some type of signage for new clientele.
First when we parked, it smelled amazing. The staff is very friendly and polite. This is a locals favorite for sure. The apatizers, stuffed mushrooms and garlic cheese bread have a great flavor. The stuffed Mushrooms start with a good size Mushroom and stuffed with their homemade meatballs, garlic and other spices, and mozzarella cheese. Then served with marinara sauce.and baked to perfection. The Pork Chop is just plain GOOD!. It has a Spicy marinara sauce and a spaghetti on the other side. The pork chop is pan fried and steering hot when it was served. My wife had the Tri Color. This consists of Chicken cutlets, Artichokes, Asparagus, and Spaghetti with Motzarella. She is in heaven. We are in San Antonio for our son's USAF Graduation and my Wife found this gem/hole-in the -wall. You will miss it if you try to find it, but it has a To Die For Taste. Find this place, we will come here again, even though we live in OC CA. It's that good. With drinks, under $70.00, any place else, we
