First Timer here. I’m around this area all the time because of work and I was really wanting caldo de res Salvadoreño (Salvadoran style beef soup) but my mom who always makes it for me lives down in Houston and I’m still new In the DFW area. So the craving was surreal and I googled “ Salvadoran food near me” and the two places that seemed to have the best reviews were this and some other place. I called in both places just to see if they had it (since it’s Thursday around 5pm, sometimes places only serve soup during the weekend or run out at earlier hours), both places did indeed have it the only difference is one is $8 the other is almost $13 (the ambience looked fancier In the picture, but I’m not about to drop $13 on a soup just because the restaurant decor is nice) so any who, naturally I chose this place where I’m getting my money’s worth and boy did I get my money’s worth. The soup was HUGE. They were generous with my portion and the soup was hot and it tasted fresh so I loved th
First time trying Salvadoran food and boy was I not disappointed! I got the house special (Especialidad de la Casa) and the skirt steak with Argentinian sausage (Carne Asada Con Churrazco) for a meal later. Takeaways: 1) The portions were HUGE. $15 and $12 each so a big bang for your buck. Each order could be 2 meals. 2) The flavor was excellent. It was a little salty personally, but I have never had Salvadoran food. It was also easily balanced by the generous helpings of rice/beans, guac/salsa, baked potato!?!, and pupusas. 3) Speaking of pupusas they were the cherry on top and a delicious complement. Other reviews said everything is made from scratch and I'm not surprised. I ordered through UberEats so I can't comment on the wait time or service. But my deliverer said I was the third order from La Perla that day so ???? that speaks for itself. Definitely would come again and recommend it to others!
Good authentic Salvadorean pupusas and menu. Price is much more affordable than other places where they charge more, for less. This was an excellent find. Will not disappoint
