La Mina Cantina

The micheladas were not the best tasting. I did like the Cantarito loco was strong with a nice peach flavor. The meat had a good flavor...but didn't care for the rice (dry/not fluffy) or beans.. I paid $69.26 for two Chimichangas and 3 drinks. Service was good...not memorable.

Can't find a meal like this for double or triple the price elsewhere. Better than some days at Hodel's. All of the following included in buffet for under $13. Some really good: Posole, flaky chimichanga, chicken fajitas, cile verde Some super super good: red crispy taco... not completely sure but believe it was a chorizo and red beans filling with queso fresco (mexican dry white cheese) on top Some good: beans, rice, cheese enchiladas, beef fajitas Some poor: red pork stew Also, drinks in mason jars which some like and good regular service without being overbearing. Atmosphere is not a five for me because I prefer music not be playing at restaurants but it's expected at any mexican restaurant foe there to be some music.

Service was excellent. We ate on the covered patio outside, which creates a nice ambience. I enjoyed the molcajete. Cold Mexican beers on tap are a nice touch.
