La Merenda is a fantastic joint with delicious drinks, dessert and staff. HIGHLY recommend the Creme Brulee. Chris the bartender graciously accommodated my group at the bar when we rapidly went from 4 to 7 people. Quick, courteous staff all around.
The food was amazing! It is a small plate experience and we tried several. We had the La Merenda salad, gnocchi, risotto, empanadas, shrimp tostadas ( we had 2 orders to accommodate our group of 4) to name a few. The service is wonderful! Had a great glass of wine and a lovely time reconnecting with friends. It was a bit noisy so sometimes talking/hearing was a bit difficult on a Tuesday night. Tells you how popular this restaurant is! That would be my only negative and it would not stop us from going back again and again!
La Merenda was the perfect place to celebrate my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. They food was delicious! We got the Argentinian steak, patatas bravas, the mushroom risotto, the truffle potato skins, and the espresso flan. The only complaint was that the truffle potato skins were slightly too salty, but besides that, everything else was great!
