Most authentic mexican food. Great salsa bar and wonderful tacos. - Its been more than a month since I have visited (unfortunately I am not a San Diego local) and I am still dreaming about their tacos. Its a must visit - dont let yourself being fooled by a rather average-looking setup, the food here is definitely worth it!
I’ve order food there after work and I gotta say it is probably the worse Mexican food restaurant I’ve been in. I mean the tortilla from my burrito was wet and the buffalo fries were terrible. I only took 2 bites and threw away the food very very disappointed.
The chips and guac were surprisingly fantastic, and I really loved the California burrito I got too, even though I didn't eat it until the next day. I drove all over Uptown at 11pm looking for decent food that wasn't a drive-through, and I was not disappointed by La Fuente. I'll definitely be back! Five stars.
