Is it just me or is the quality of food and service decreasing in casual dining places, especially with the rise of inflation?? I ordered food from here earlier this week and it was amazing. Nothing to complain about, rather actually hype up because it motivated me to pick it up again for dinner on a Friday. They forgot la jupiña, the portions were small for the salmon plate and pollo a la plancha, el ceviche tasted like soap (cilantro and ingredients probably not fresh), and el mojito that they gave me to dip las mariquitas was basically all liquid. I feel like they put no effort into my order, which is unfortunate. Grew up with this restaurant in my area and I usually enjoy it!
It's around the block from Home2 Hotel. Had an early dinner and we had chicharon de pollo with rice @ tostones. We also had pork chops (2) with rice and tostones. The portions were good, taste and the price was really affordable. Our service was great and I am coming back in the morning for cafe and breakfast.
I've been to just about all the Carreta restaurants, this is pretty good, nice atmosphere ample, clean well decorated. Good was great, calamari didn't look good but they were amazing and the yuca frita also. I ordered fish with shrimp, very good, my friend arroz con puerco also delicious, serve didn't know menu well but provided good service and options. Prices are good, el go back
