Great ambiance. Delicious crusty bread, light perfect calamari, salad with great house made italian, and yummy rum cake. I had the eggplant parmesan and felt like it was missing some flavor - the marinara just seemed like tomato and I would have loved a little more garlic and basil in the sauce. My husband's lobster risotto was very good. Amazing service.
This was a very great restaurant. They had great portions and the wait wasn't long at all as opposed to other restaurants on a Saturday night. The pasta was fantastic and the waiter was kind and sweet.
Now I don't like to review restaurants at all but this place lit a small fire under me. Yesterday my girlfriend and I drove over two hours to visit the art institute and to have dinner at La Cantina in the Italian Village. We both work in the industry and more specifically with Italian cuisine. That being said we have compassion for those working in the industry both service and kitchen staff and are never too critical of our dining experiences. We were sat in the very back next to a reserved group of tables that left no room for the staff to walk threw without bumping in to me or backing their butt into my head and shoulder while taking the order of the grouped table causing me to spill my wine while trying to take a sip. Thankfully it landed on the table and not on my white shirt. We ordered a Cabernet and calamari to start and were satisfied with the taste and timing. The next course was our salads and its almost impossible to mess up a salad so that went well until they cleared our
