Lé Fresca

Oh my! Where do I start with this place. Everything from the minute you walk in the door is incredible. We were seated promptly. The service was unbeatable. The food tasted like it was straight from heaven. If you gave the pork chop a dirty look it gals off the bone. Dessert was also over the top.

If you've not been to Le Fresca, well friends, you are really missing out. They have simply the Best Italian Food in Alabama and beyond. Their Risotto is perfection, the Tiramisu is just like you'd eat in Italy, their pizza is the best in the business and their service is second to none and it's a warm, welcoming family atmosphere. They are open for lunch and dinner and have Lasagna to go on Saturdays. I've now visited several times and have never been disappointed but you will need reservations for dinner because I have been telling everyone how spectacular the food is and how lucky we are to have them in Birmingham. The owner, Marco, is a James Beard Award Winning Chef. We now have several award winning chefs in Bham, so look out NOLA, our food establishments are very memorable and Birmingham is a more welcoming place than NOLA these days;-)

My husband and I just wrote this place down on our favorites list, we hadn't tried truly exquisite Italian food in years. I'm not a fan of spaghetti, much less al dente and when I tried this simply, I couldn't stop eating it, delicious!!!! The clams in butter and the carpaccio beef are not to be missed, as is the tiramisu. The wines that were recommended to us, we would have liked something with more body and finish. Excellent place!!!
