Kumo Japanese Steak House & Sushi

Over priced and over rated. No seasoning used at all in the cooking of the food, they just use what I'm assuming is a watered down soy sauce. The fried rice was honestly the best part because it had egg and therefore some actual flavor. Not sure what the orange and brown sauces are that they serve. The orange one is watered down Chick-fil-A sauce. The brown one was okayish. Kind of a sweet and mildly spicy. I ordered the Sonomono which is chicken steak and shrimp. I would kill for some garlic or anything on it. They use salt and pepper but that can only do so much. All the hibachi chefs do is build some fire a few times. Big whoop. Kids are very entertained but that's about it. Save your money and eat elsewhere. They even charge a mandatory 18% on top.

They open Monday-Thursday at 5pm Kitchen closes at 9:30. I think it's nice around 5pm. It's not to busy. Me and my daughter ordered 6 of their sushi rolls and surprisingly the ???? roll was by far the best. Went thire for hibachi and the food was fresh and well sessiond. They did not cut corners on quality. Buy far one of my favorite places for sushi.

Once Sat we sat for 10mins before server greeted us while others at table already had drinks. Food didn’t have seasoning, I advised I had a food allergy I was served raw vegetables so he could continue cooking instead of just swapping cooking utensils . Chef was not sociable or friendly. We were a party of 2, questioned why there was a 18% “charge” service, I asked if it was something new as I didn’t see anything on menu or posted. He said “well it’s kinda new it’s to make sure the server, chef and kitchen get tipped”. I always take care of the servers and bartenders. But if you’re going to “automatically “ charge you we’d to have it posted!
