Kokai Sushi & Lounge

Delicious food, fresh, great service, great selection. Perfect atmosphere! Spectacular selection of food each time we visit! UPDATE: Came back almost a year and a half later. Food good but very poor service. Ordered a glass of wine and then the food arrived and then nobody came again. We flagged our waiter down to bring the check. Friday night, wanted to relax with a few glasses of wine, but not tonight!

Our next family food adventure take us Kokai Sushi & Lounge located in Doral with a category of 4.5 with more then 727 comments, looking for a culinary experience we came to this restaurant. The decoration is perfect for the Japanese food and distinctive of a very ancient culture. The attention was excellent. What I liked the most is that you can see the entire preparation process of each roll by the chefs who enjoy each creation. I believe that true sushi does not need soy sauce, that gives it the unique flavor that is achieved with the combination of each ingredient and in Kokai they managed to give the dish a different flavor. When you finish eating everything you order, even the dessert, you can't tell which one was the best since they were all delicious and incredibly delicious. Thank you for this unforgettable experience.

50$ wasted on food we had to trash. No refund or replacement. Our delivery order of two Alaska Deluxe rolls arrived with wilted, darkened avocado and foul smelling fish. When we tried to contact the "Sauce" delivery service for a refund or replacement, they told us that they can't help us and we have to contact the restaurant directly. Okay, we thought. So my husband called Kokai Sushi restaurant, explained the issue and...they hanged up on him. He called again and they hanged up again, this time right after picking the phone up. I would like to add that we both used to really like Kokai Sushi. The food used to fresh and delicious. We would order through either Door dash or UberEATS (I don't remember which one I have both app). But this time those apps no longer carried this restaurant and we had to order through some "Sauce" delivery service - the one that weren't able to help us anyhow when our order arrived foul today.
