Came by for dinner recently for the first time and really liked the food. The Pan-Seared Wagyu Beef w/ Lime Zest 香檸煎和牛 was amazing and has set the bar of what beef should taste like. We also really liked the 奶皇流沙包 / Egg yolk lava buns as they were truly runny like lava.
Food is excellent, every single dish was simply delicious. The service is sub-par to say the least, one practically has to wrestle wait staff to get their attention. However I will be back because the duck as well as the shrimp dumplings were that worth it! … More
Koi Palace has been a Bay Area staple for my family and many others who are celebrating something big like graduation, a wedding, a promotion, or a holiday. Koi Palace is known to be much pricier than the usual spots, but the decor and attention to service, as well as the quality of the food is up there in comparison . Essentially, you aren’t getting pink opaque soap or a greasy slippery floor. Now, I know many will say it’s overhyped or overpriced… and those sentiments I get as well. It’s just one of those places that’s nicer to go to, but you aren’t going every month unless you’re rolling $$ like that. Many reviews I’ve seen giving it one star complain about the automatic 18% tip, some complain about the service. And many complain about door dash / take out. Which are their valid experiences, but some look like entitlement (disguised as bad customer service?) Anyways. Like any well known spots, it’s going to become more scrutinized… as for my family, we were celebrating a wedding wit
