Kobe Japanese Restaurant

I’ve had ramen & various sushi rolls. Done takeout and dine in! All times it was awesome. The takeout hosts do seem a little confused on the menu when asking simple questions about what comes on things for allergies, but they were able to get answers after speaking with the chefs! Just think a little more time with current staff and this place will be 10/5 stars. Update: I have been here almost a dozen times now, always incredible. 11/5 stars.

Service: We went there on a Friday at 7. We had to wait a good 45 minutes to get a table and another 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order. Food: We had gone there mainly because we are ramen fiends and we heard really good things about the place. We got the Tonkatsu and Katsu curry ramen. Both were undeniably DELECTABLE. I would go with the regular size over the large next time as neither of us could finish it. Also if you get the tonkatsu, go for the optional thin flour noodles as their regular noodles are a bit thick and chewy. But everything else about the ramen was really good. The pork chashu literally melted in my mouth and the narutomaki were very light and soft. The eggs - perfectly soft boiled. I would go as far as to say it's the best ramen I've tried in SLC. Ambience: We sat on the table right next to the bar so it was very noisy and we had people walking past us a lot. If that's not your thing, you can try asking them for a table in the back. I’ve been coming to Kobe for years now and I don’t go anywhere else. I hate long waits and big spaces with a ton of people. Here is welcoming, personal and the sushi is to die for. Vegas roll is my favorite, mussel shooters and Saki!! Seat by the bar the Sushi chef is so friendly! Really good price too! ???? Parking: Plenty
