We grabbed takeout from K&J Seafood's new location. Having already been familiar with the shrimp poboy, this time we opted for the catfish version. Somehow, it was even better. Griddle toasted bun (a change from our last foray, which was a fluffy hoagie), the batter was spicier, the flavors were richer. This may have shaved a year off of my life due to all of the oil and flavor elements. But it's also evidence that K&J know what they're doing with seafood. Great stuff.
It was the customer service and attitude when I called to let them know they DID NOT add the extra seafood and extra cheese I PAID for. I personally will NEVER go here again been coming to them for 2 years now and they just keep going down. The quantity / portion sizes is going down for the same price of what it was before. I still came to them but today was the last straw. I do not appreciate the horrible customer service nor not getting what I paid for.! Hope u guys the best but your definitely lost a loyal customer.
Genuinely always an issue with this place. Tried calling to place an order but was rushed off the phone and told to order online. Did that and was given the wrong order which mind you was cold as if it was sitting on the counter all day waiting for somebody to order it so they could get rid of it. Had to go back all the way from my house through the rain to get the right order and that once again was the same as the wrong order: cold, soggy, and included small bready pieces of fish. So much for a made upon request restaurant. Had another issue in the summer where they did not include my crab in an order and they refused to give me a refund and only a restaurant credit. Tried giving them a second chance but they prove time and time again to not give their 100% to every customer who gives them their money. Do yourself a favor and away from this place and look to other seafood restaurants.
