King Chop Suey

We're thankful we have such a great Chinese restaurant in Whiting. They are carry-out only due to the current health situation, but the food was ready when they said it would be, it was hot and almost all excellent. The Egg Foo Young was disappointing, but the Crabmeat Chow Mein was great (pictured).

I have this establishment on speed dial. Anyone who has ever eaten here has always said "that's the best [place food item here] I've ever had! And they are so generous with the size of their dishes.. Literally brought my dad there once and he now drives from Dyer just to bask in the light that is King Chop Suey. Go there. You won't regret it. I don't waste my time posting reviews unless it's the best or worst and in this case, well.. Long live the King.

I had a taste for rice. Added xtra shrimp which was high for and additional $5 bucks but okay fine whatever. Then I get home and this rice is plain as white rice . Like there’s nooo flavor whatsoever. And the egg rolls were twice fried & gross. $22 bucks down the drain. I guess if this is your only option then hey eat it. I mean the person helping me was super nice and I saw some saucy looking orange chicken. But I had taste for good rice and didn’t feel like driving to A-fusion to get it. I paid for my laziness and nope won’t be back for a bland meal again .
