Place is ok. Didn't feel very inviting and the menu/ordering/paying over the phone felt very impersonal although futuristic. The menu has very little explanations of the plates with photos only for few items. Very amateurish and not inviting. For few things we did not know what we ordered until we got them. Maybe great of you like surprises. Finally, the fish tasted fresh but not that flavorful. For 50$+ per person, I would have expected a little more.
New favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Crispy tuna rice is so good, and their sushi pieces are so fresh. Love how many options there are and the good prices. We haven’t had a good neighborhood sushi spot in Weho for a while, so glad it’s here!
Kinari continues to be a going out staple for us. The ramen is delicious (and dairy and nut free). The sushi is delicious (extremely fresh and high quality, so tasty). The salmon collar is delicious. I’ve had the miso, shoyu, and creamy ramens. All are delicious, but I love the creamy ramen. I also always get the salmon avocado roll ???? Prices are decent for the area and the staff is always so accommodating and kind. They also have a patio area that’s dog-friendly. Highly recommended. They recently changed ownership, but I haven’t noticed any differences in quality or portion size. Some items may be a dollar or so more, but overall still reasonable, and they have more items on their menu (I think). I’m reticent to share this review because I love this place so much and don’t want to share, haha, but they deserve to be supported.
