Best sushi ever! I grew up in Japan and I KNOW sushi. Kens sushi bid always fresh and always has been. I’ve been coming here since 2000. My kids grew up eating sushi here. Due to inflation, prices have gone up a bit but that’s normal. You’ll enjoy their sushi, I promise!
We experienced great service, yummy food, and a welcoming environment. Our server took the time to explain the menu and was willing to share some of his favorites. He genuinely cared that we enjoyed our meal. We ordered the pan fried noodles with shrimp instead of pork. It was so good! We also had salmon sashimi, uni, and toro. We also ordered the baked lobster roll with avocado (lobster was a bit overcooked, but the rest of the food was good). I loved their ginger salad- such a unique dressing. We were impressed by their selection of fish and the fact that they have two sushi bars.
Take-out only as of June 3, 2022. - Omakase (8-piece sushi) Freshness and taste were average, it did have a bit of less common fish. Salmon was below par, taste and color were just like the inexpensive farm raised ones found in supermarkets. Sushi rice was bland, similar to some AYCE places that totally lack the taste of sushi rice vinegar. Personally, I would prefer to have premium chirashi in Walnut or Diamond Bar at a similar price for better satisfaction. - California Hand Roll Decent. - Salmon Hand Roll Same as the salmon in Omakase, the taste was bland. - Tuna Roll Average. I was expecting Tekkamaki (classic tuna roll), but was given a non-spicy version of spicy tuna roll. - Leo's Special (sushi roll) Decent, the rice could have been better. - Yakisoba Decent, but it was more like Chinese stir-fry noodles. It is not the kind you would find in Japanese festivals or street stalls with dark Yakisoba sauce similar to Takoyaki or Okonomiyaki.
