I have been posting for years and this is the 1st 5 star I've given.. Absolutely the greatest soul food I've tried in years. Love this place clean and friendly worth the drive (from Chicago) and money. They have $5 lunch specials. The turkey chop sandwich oh so good. Just an amazing establishment a rare find. Good quality and amazing quanity for the price. If you're a real soulful cooker this place will have you hanging up your apron. It's a takeout joint..I be so gitty I eat in my car. Delicious ????

I ordered catfish dinner it was fried in burnt grease or something . The greens tasted like sugar and vinegar. The dressing was edible but not that best. I brought it back and tried talk to a lady at the counter who I’m sure all the poor customer service reviews are referring to because she was just ready to be combative and rude within the first 5sec of our conversation. I told her I’m having a great day just give me a refund instead of how she was handling things. She said they don’t offer refunds . I asked where was that posted not on my reciept not on the door or anywhere ? The gentleman did give me a refund, he was way better to deal with than her even thought the situation could have been resolved better. WORDS OF ADVICE TO THIS BUSINESS !! Taste the food !!! All the customers can’t be wrong !! AND GET RID OF THAT LADY SHE HAS NO IDEA HOW TO WORK WORH THE PUBLIC OR PUT HER IN THE BACK AWAY FROM THE CUSTOMERS !
