KC Daiquiri Shop Bistreaux

Absolutely amazing! Best Cajun food I’ve had outside of Louisiana! I will absolutely be back. We are moving to the area and decided to visit a few of the good looking food places. I am so unbelievably happy we stopped here. I can’t wait to come back to try a daiquiri. We ordered the boudin balls, blackened chicken fettuccine, lobster bisque, and crawfish étouffée. We cleared our plates. In fact I wanted to lick my plate!!! This is a must visit!! For the people complaining about salty food, you shouldn’t have picked Cajun. It’s well seasoned and delicious. Sorry it’s not for you. For the people complaining about slow service, it’s a local business that may or not be family owned. I would wait all day if I knew that’s what you were going to feed me!!! Thanks for the service, ambiance, and food!!

This place is fantastic! We came in for lunch today and we were not disappointed. The gumbo is amazing. The wings are so big and crispy. The seafood pasta is so well seasoned and has a good amount of shrimp. And the fish po boy is just delicious. Not to mention the choice of daiquiris! There is also some truly beautiful art on the walls. You have to try this place out.

We stumbled across this place via a Google search and are beyond glad that we did! We went for the frozen daiquiris and stayed for some of the best, authentic New Orleans style food that you can get outside of NOLA. With us having family in the N.O., we are picky with cajun food. The boudin and rice balls were a fantastic starter! They were lightly fried and perfectly paired with their own Cajun dipping sauce. I went with the Salmon New Orleans combo that had a crab cake, shrimp, and blackened salmon with homemade mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. My wife opted for the gumbo and we were beyond impressed with the flavor in every bite. If you visit the Kansas City area, find your way to the KC Daiquiri Shop and Bistreaux!!
