We haven't been here in years because we moved out of the area. Boy have they changed!!! The remodel is definitely a step up. We had the best sandwiches we had in a long time. Our server, Luz, was lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back next time we are in town especially for the California Club sandwich. It was fabulous!!
We stopped at Katella Deli to pick up a cake - the BEST cake in the house, I might add (see photo) - so we decided to stay and have breakfast. We pre-ordered our delicious cake and we also picked up a bear claw to split while we waited for our breakfast. It was surprisingly busy for a Friday morning, but was just a few minute wait before we got seated. While waiting we shared the bear claw we had picked up in the bakery - we all thought it was very dry and it didn't have much filling - it was a bit of a disappointment. We finally got seated - the dining room was hoppin' and very noisy! We sat down at our table and I was surprised to see a huge dead roach on the floor. Even though it was the kind that is found outdoors, I just hated having to see it - I get a bit squeamish with stuff like that! - so we told our waitress and she got a napkin and picked it up. *Brave girl! I could have never done that!! I split a spinach and mushroom omelette got a side of corned beef hash with my hubb
This place is awesome. Food is delicious! Drinks are well made. Decent IPA's on tap, too. I've been here about 5 times in the last 2-3 months and will continue to return. The bar staff is super welcoming and fun. Morning waitresses can be a hit or miss; taking a while to come back around for additional requests or to leave / pick up the bill. I highly recommend breakfast and lunch. Haven't had dinner here yet, but I look forward to it soon!
