Kanpai Japanese Steak & Sushi

We were in the area for work and decided we wanted something different than normal. Upon entering, it is a pleasant entrance. Staff was quick to seat us at the Hibachi table, but as with any Hibachi, if the table is not full or mostly full, they will wait to see if more guests arrive. We did arrive within a couple hours of closing, so they were not busy at all. They ended up asking if we did not mind joining with another table. We did not as there were only 2 of us. The Chef was entertaining and the food was amazing. We both had the shrimp and steak. There were pieces of steak that was a tiny bit on the tough side, but flavor was delicious. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the state of the inside. The building has a hanging ceiling and a lot of the ceiling tiles are water stained which gives the entire location a slightly unsavory look, which in turn causes the place to seem a bit dated. HORRIBLE! They served our steak BURNT to a crisp and then charged us EXTRA because we said "no veggies" on our hibachi!! Frozen fried rice taste better! I never leave bad reviews but prices are high and I hope to prevent someone from over paying.

The food was Amazing. I am very impressed with the kindness and promptness of the service with lots of smiling ???? faces.
