Jumpin Catfish Restaurant

Jumpin catfish is by far the easiest place to get a full belly in kansas. Just outside Overland Park you’ll find yourself indulging in a old fashioned hunters lodge feasting on some of the best catfish fillets you’ve ever had. Not to mention they have all you can eat crab legs as well. However you might find yourself stuffed to gills by the first plate no pun intended lol. But not only is this a great place to chow down on some good ol fish they have some of the best tasting fried chicken I’ve ever had as well. So drop on in if you and the entire family, kids and all have a big appetite for your money will go a long way and no one I mean no one will leave still hungry!

This place was super good. We had a large party and excellent service. They brought complimentary hush puppies, slaw, and ham and beans to the table. Delicious. I stopped counting the hush puppies I ate. I ordered a platter with stuffed crabs, catfish, butterfly shrimp, and fried flames. So good! My sister and son ordered the catfish, and my daughter ordered the popcorn chicken. Friends in our group ordered duck, quail, and frog legs. Everyone loved the meal.

Heard about this restaurant that serves quails and frog legs so I decided to give it a try. Ordered the grilled quails and jumbo frog legs. The frog legs were coated with batter and deep fried so it’s very greasy. There’s really not much flavor to it. Not sure why the cook didn’t put a bit of salt at all. The meat is juicy so I like about that. The grilled quails on the other hand has good flavor. I have tasted some some frog legs in Asia and it was delicious. I don’t think I would order the same food even if I go again.
