Jowdy’s Fish Castle & Daq Shaq

It's a great day in Review world!!! Im truly a honest Reviewer and today this place has blown my top with the excellence of this food I say that with great passion as a cook I know good food prepared with love and they get a perfect 10 from me Hot, Fresh, perfectly seasoned!!! The price is worth your buck. I'm in Terrell on work assignment first time visiting and they definitely have a customer long as I'm here!!!

It all started with my desire for a meatless meal on Holy Saturday and to support a black-owned business. Jowdy's Fish Castle & Daq Shaq on Virginia St. in Terrell did both - admirably. Ordering and paying via the phone was effortless and efficient. I expect Daq Shaq's (pronounced dack shack) catfish to smell and taste delicious. I was not disappointed. Tonight I had the Pina Colada flavored frozen daiquiri. I forgot its name on the menu because I'm horrible with names. I like that they serve savory hush puppies with the meal along with the fries. That was a treat. However, Ladies, the *best* treat was the handsome man with the baritone voice who took my order. Oh my! Features: Outdoor seating is a great COVID-19 safety practice.

The good people here know exactly what they are doing, from the daiquiris down to the hushpuppies, delicious! The very helpful gentleman at the window said it right, "We don't want to toot our own horn or anything, but I believe you'll be back." He was absolutely right. Thank yall, keep doing what you do.
