So long story short this food is the bomb. The flavor is authentic Chicago flavor, nothing you’d find in your local freezer section. The southern style food is definitely reminiscent of great great grandma down home cooking. The price definitely matches the portion size . You pay one price and can feed like 2/3 people off one plate. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating. If you need an authentic food fix JOPPA EXPERIENCE is the place.

This is my first experience here, and it won’t be the last! I had the catfish sandwich, which came with fries, and it was most definitely the best I’ve ever had. I love that this is a small business and not a chain. Easy to find in Merle Hay Mall right outside of Kohl’s.

Food is awesome, I ordered the soul food special: fried chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, and catfish with sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Both main items were excellent, as well as the sides. It’s a small business and Black owned. A local must.
