Jollof Pot

ABULA!!!!! Jollof Pot is a good Nigerian restaurant. I am so happy I found this little gem in Miami. The flavors are on point. For non-nigerians: start off with getting the jollof rice with assorted meat/plantain -- this will not disappoint. It is smokey, sweet and filling! If you are feeling daring, go on Saturday and try the ABULA! It is a traditional dish in Nigeria that we all go crazy for. I love the way she makes it and I love the quality of her ingredients. Please give this place a try, I'll be there every Saturday! Update: After being here a couple of times, I would definitely remove one star because the workers are not the friendliest and the food is sometimes cold. The quality of the Jollof rice changes depending on the day; same with the plantain and the meat.

Came here with my family on Saturday right before closing. My husband is Nigerian so he recommended a few dishes. The owner was nice enough to let us dine in after we got our food. Even though they were closing. We ordered the Egusi, Chicken w/ Jollof, and the Okra Soup. We got containers of plantains and gizzards to go. The food was amazing. We all shared our bowls. No complaints around the table. Great flavor and a nice little kick. My 2 yr old loved the Jollof ! Best Jollof I’ve personally tried. The owner kept checking in on us to make sure everything was good. Service was as amazing as the food. Cannot wait to come back next time we’re in town. Going to get more Egusi and check out their grocery section so I can bring some products home.

Amazing first time visit! Efo-riro with pounded yam ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Snapper with jollof rice and plantains ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken with jollof rice and plantains ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time trying African food and it was an excellent experience. We picked up our meal for to go and customer service was lovely. The restaurant doesn’t do call aheads as of now but the service was quick and friendly. The woman serving us and helping up check out and kind and happy to help describe the dishes to us as well as answer any questions we had. The efo-riro and pounded yam were delicious!! The mix of spinach and various meats were so flavorful and great. The snapper and jollof rice were definitely the star. The snapper was huge, fluffy, meaty, and spiced so well. Stop by to try Jollof pot!
