John's Korner Bar & Grill

A couple of years ago (circa 2019) I really liked the place. The food was tasty, well prepared, and a good value. I especially liked the Buffalo wings, and the burger was awesome. Not so much anymore (2021). Service is consistently slow. It's a challenge to get another beer or to pay your tab and leave. They are experiencing deficiencies of basic quality in food preparation. Here are my last two visits... Visit one: Order a rare burger, and it is cooked bloodless, well-done. When the waitress finally makes it back to our table I tell her I can't eat a dry, over-cooked beef patty. She let's me know that she'll inform the cook, and leaves the uneaten, trash-burger on my table (for me to contemplate, or perhaps to taunt me?) Thanks for letting the cook know - I really appreciate that because it does me a lot of good. When the bill is due I have to ask the same waitress to remove the trash-burger from the bill - a request that she seems to find incredulous and unusual. Well,

One of my favorite local dives, never feels dangerous but offers all of the beautiful human conditions out there. Always run into crazy random conversations. I'll be there again for sure.
