Went based on all the good reviews. Very underwhelmed. Pizza was mediocre at best. Not bad, but not *good*. Not many customers, place looked run-down and just kind of sad. I'll give it another shot sometime. It's ok. I really wanted to love it, I don't know why it is rated so high.
Don't let the appearance get you down. The food here is VERY good. I have been going since the '80s. It is always good and it is just what I need when I am craving Italian. Visit here and you will not be disappointed. I have tried many things and have liked them all. Give this local business a try!
Joe's has the best Italian food in town. I've been eating here for 30 years, and while I wouldn't say it's the same as it always was, it's still the best around. The marinara sauce is exceptional, the pizzas are great (the crust is crispy perfection), and the fried mozzarella is not to be missed. They're a little pricy, but it's worth every penny.
