JJ Fish & Chicken

I found this gem trying to avoid Chicago I-90 traffic and apparently just took the right exit. I was here on October 5, 2022. We don't have any fish joints like this where I live so it's always a treat. It was a 12-15 minute wait for my order which was perfect because I need to gas up my car across the street. I ordered the Catfish plate and it was everything I hoped for! Crispy, delicate and flavorful I didn't want that fish to end! Thank you for a great meal!

I really like this location above all the others, they don’t fry the wings so hard that they are dry. They are seasoned & fried perfectly. The is delicious as well. I’ve had fish from other neighborhood restaurants that was mostly crunchy batter, but NOT this location. Everything is golden brown, and a great reward for myself when I’ve had a long day of work. ????

I wish I could give zero stars this place is so bad I Ordered the 3 combo with catfish and double wings well the wings smelled so bad and the catfish was fried very hard but it also didn’t taste like catfish I sent my order back and was very nice about it they replaced the order with just 5 piece catfish. I take that back ask for refund because where is my fresh cooked wings just bad after going back and forth about getting my money back they finally gave it to me . The young lady at the register was very nice unsure if she’s new but she is nice I will never return
