Jin28

Very disappointed with Jin28. We love sushi. Kinta in Carol Stream is our go to place, but my son encouraged us to try Jin28 as he's been there several times and liked it. On a positive note, the restaurant is very clean and appealing. The service however was atrocious. The server was very unfriendly and could barely take our order. At no point did they ask us if we wanted to start with a beverage or appetizers, she just walked up to the table with her pen and pad of paper and stared at us. So we just order our meal, whatever. We literally had to point to what we wanted on the menu. My wife tried to request "no cucumbers" on her sushi roll, and the server had no idea what she was saying. I wanted to order the sushi dinner entree which is served with a California roll. I asked if I could have an Eel roll instead and again, she couldn't understand what I was asking. She asked another employee to come over and he very bluntly said "no substitutions" and walked away. My son was confused be

Atmosphere is great! 12/18/21-But When I called and Order for pick up. The lady on the phone sounds less of eager to get my business. When, I pick up my food. I felt that uneasy feeling of “I don’t want your business. She sounds very rude(& mind you am Asian(Filipino)this place is Not friendly. Where’s Midwestern hospitality. That’s why some ppl might says it’s a great place- for Caucasian ppl. I took the pictures and see. No one is barely there. I saw 2 ladies-African and Caucasian.Here’s a hint. If there’s not much ppl in it don’t buy it. The Smoothies taste like water with lots of tapiocas. & sugar. Take your business next door- Hing Ming. Here’s my take- anyone who’s in the restaurant business. Need to get Hospitality class. Whether, they buy the inexpensive food on the menus. Treatment should be like they still pay big bucks. Because they have people that will bring you more business. Am not sure not buy it again.

Good lunch specials, but would stick with the Chinese options in general. Food ready promptly, always hot and fresh.
