Cool spot, nice atmosphere. Came in at a fairly slow time, sat at the bar…but service was really subpar. Steak was a bit overcooked and just not very tender for the price. Overall, it’s “okay not great” and today’s service really missed the mark (cool artsy photo of my empty beer because it sat there for so long).
High Points; Service was fantastic. Server did a good job and when she was busy additional servers would help out. GREAT management to have all your servers work together. Meal was very filling. Ordered the KC strip (14 ox), came with side salad and a potato, 2 pieces of Texas toast and a side of fried shrimp. First, salad and toast were very good and a great way to start the meal (a glass of wine helped as well). Next came the steak and potato; potato should have been a twice back, but was served a regular baked, not the end of the world but not what I was expecting. The steak was cook prefect medium rare, the way I wanted it (per my server advice I ordered it medium as their cooks generally under cook). With that said the outside was tough. They must pan cook their steaks vs over an open flame. What can happen is the sear is to high and the seasoning, in the case, caramelized on each side. This led to a tough cut to get into the steak BUT med-rare, juicy inside. With all
A group of 6 of us tourists decided to take an Uber to this restaurant that was recommended to us & it didn't disappoint! From the moment we walked in we were promptly greeted & seated. I had the 14 oz KC strip and it was very tender. We also split an appetizer. The highlight of the meal was our server Rebecca. She was so patient and kind and all of her food recommendations were on point.
