I had a dinner here for my brother's 50th birthday. We reserved the back room and had excellent service the entire evening. The servers were very accomodating and Pat, the owner is wonderful. My family has had many gatherings here at J.D. Hoyt's for years and they never cease to amaze.
Went to JD Hoyt’s for their fabulous Cajun Pork Chop, and I was not disappointed. The chop was enormous and very tasty — enough for two meals. The accompanying veggies were fresh, quite good. I also has a very large, scrumptious sweet potato, half of which went home with us. The “cheesy bread” the restaurant serves was also very good. My wife was able to add a large lobster tail onto my meal (suggested by our server), since she wasn’t interested in the veggies and is a light eater. Our server, Sara L, was outstanding. She was helpful and very attentive. I highly recommend JD Hoyt’s.
Dining room was pretty quiet tonight, which was nice for us. We've known about this place for years but have never been, and it was on our bucket list. 42nd year of marriage and here we are, finally! JD Hoyts exceeded our expectations with great tasting, perfectly grilled salmon and scallops and perfectly cooked veg medley! Mmmm... will come again!
