This was our second time eating at this location. The first was pre-Covid and the experience was phenomenal! This time, not so much. When we pulled up tonight, my husband thought they were closed because the parking lot was a ghost town. That should have been our clue to find another cue joint to dine at. Dead on a Friday night? No bueno. Staff at the front were friendly. Menu was easy to navigate. Prices a bit high, but we didn’t care because we remembered the food was outstanding. The food was not outstanding tonight. A 3 rating is generous and that was due to the sides - they were yum. Macaroni and cheese and potato salad. I ordered ribs and they were dried out and tasteless. I paid $2.75 for a coveted brisket stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeño. I received a tiny, cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeño that was just plain sad to eat. I had to drown my ribs in sauce, something I never do, to make them edible. My hubby ordered a two meat plate with brisket and jalapeño sausage. Dried out
Been here a few times now, but last time i decided to try the burnt ends and LET ME TELL YOU they are AMAZING! So good in fact, that i asked for a little extra of the secret sauce on then and they were more than happy to oblige! I WILL be back!
Can I just say wow. This place is amazing I'm from out of state and if this is Texas bbq this has to be the best I had the beef brisket and it was amazing, and the ribs have to be best I've had the dry rub they use is incredible, you don't want to use bbq sauce in the ribs, and finally the potato well what can I say it is a big as Texas and loaded to the max with smoked meats. This is a must go place
