Jamaica Kitchen

I gave it two stars because the customer service was good. I ordered jerk and curry chicken plates for lunch and it was all nasty. The jerk chicken taste so nasty like it had a sweet taste to it. The rice and cabbage was completely over cooked. I have had real authentic Jamaican food and this is not that!

Fish was good but overpriced for snapper. Cabbage was horrible, my friend and I threw ours in the garbage. It was so much it seemed like we had a half head on our plate, even her husband hated the taste. How do you mess up simple vegetables, AND have no plantains when people are staying away from rice for health reasons. I basically paid $20+ to eat one piece of fish.

They seem to cook in small portions cause they're always out of plantain and a veggie plate is not complete without it as I love the bit of sweet and savory with my meal. I guess I need to just drive further to Golden Krust because they are never out of plantain. They seem to not just care. I definitely try to support businesses near my home but sometimes it's just hard. The good side is that it's saving me money ...making me cook more!
