Jakes

Jakes was a great spot for lunch on a Saturday. Hubby ordered the breakfast burger with patty, egg, ham and more. I opted for the bacon blue. Both were excellent. I love that the blue cheese was chunky, but also saucy for an ooey gooey yummy experience. My burger was pretty messy, but our waitress was one step ahead and had brought extra napkins :) Service was excellent. Facility was clean! Fun atmosphere. Wish the patio was open! Kids both ordered chicken tenders and fries. The reason for dropping a star was the fries and onion rings were both over cooked. Our youngest, who prides herself on being a chicken tender expert, was not happy with her tenders. I thought they looked juicy and delish. Jakes, we will be back after we hit the gym a few more times to make room ????

Excellent service and delicious food! My patty melt had spicy sauce on it, so I couldn't eat it. My server kindly offered to bring out a new one and it was yummy! Kat was helpful and sweet! I even brought back extra tip$ for her the next day, when I realized she didn't keep what was on my gift card. Can't wait to try something else on the menu!

Negative: fried green tomatoes are supposed to be green. Plus too spicy for me to eat. My grilled chicken salad with avocado was served in a metal bowl like a dog food bowl not appealing at all. Plus the inside of my avocado slices were black. Neutral: the Atkins burger and dog were pretty good but husband said the chili tasted like it came from a can. Positive: our sweet potato fries were really good just plain no marshmallow or cinnamon sugar. And my husband wings were pretty good also. Staff and management is very friendly and attentive were ate about 4:30. I just found out afterwards that the fried green tomatoes could have been ordered with a less spicy batter. I wish I had know that before or I ordered. Management said they are having trouble getting in green tomatoes but they are working on it.
