Celebrated my husband birthday. Reservation is easy and they gave us the window with the view as requested. Todd was excellent, friendly and attentive. Food was great. We had the ceviche, seafood clam chowder, achiote roasted fish and the seafood/steak. Location is perfect right by the water and sunset view. Public parking available across the street with short walk distance. If you are lucky and patient theres metered street parking. Let them know if you want the window seat with the view when you are making reservation and check the time of sunset to impress your date or if celebrating something special.There is access to the beach if you want to walk after dinner. Nice, Beach side location with good views, great food, excellent service. A bit pricey but, that's to be expected here. I recommend getting a reservation. If you eat early enough, you can take advantage of their $7 valet parking instead of paying $10 per hour across the street at the public parking lot. Loved the Hula Cake for dessert and that we got it for free for our anniversary.

Jake’s is a fantastic place, great environment, has a feel of upscale while casual dinning is welcome. Sat at the bar, had a few beers and a great meal. Staff was fun and energetic, can’t wait to stop by again when I visit Del Mar.
