They always try to keep maximum AC off to avoid the electricity. If you request to sit in uper hall. They excuses that it is reserved. I came here more then 50 times. But maximum places are reserved. They want to sit all customer in one floor with one AC only. A very disappointing behavior. Restaurants are supposed to facilitate customers, but they always tried to give directions to customers. My request to the owners to take notice. Otherwise soon you'll lose customers like me.
I still like Jade. They do get orders wrong though. You need to be certain they understand just how you want your order, or it won't be worth it. Peanuts and almonds can have a stale flavor. When I tell them I want almonds to be fresh (which I shouldn't have to do), they are fresh. Chicken is clean and fresh, sauces and gravies are really good.
My friend and I decided to stop here after a recent Ravinia concert. A bit surprised to learn they were take out only, the weather outside was nice, so what the heck? I really enjoyed their Won Ton Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. My friend was a bit less enthused with her meal. She had shrimp appetizer and was not impressed. I will definitely go back if I am in the neighborhood, or after another Ravinia show, provided I don't have my friend with me, I don't think she would enjoy it too much. In the interest of full disclosure, she is picky.
