Moving to nyc after going to college in the South I can safely say this is definitely one of the best places in New York for traditional, southern comfort food. Not only was the food amazing (albeit large on the portions) the drinks were so good and the cocktail comes the way it should; in a mason jar. We went during restaurant week so we got to try a lot on the menu at a great price. Highlights: Mac and Cheese, biscuit and gravy sandwich, Oreo pudding. If you have room for dessert (you probably won’t though) definitely order the Oreo pudding they do. It’s absolutely incredible, pro tip: if you don’t have room for dessert, ask them to take it to go and have it the next day. You won’t regret it!
Everything about this place is amazing - service, food quality, food taste, variety and portion sizes. It is hard to get a reservation sometimes, but it is a great place for brunch and I highly recommend it. The pumpkin bread pudding was incredible.
The food was delicious. I had the fried chicken on a biscuit with sausage gravy, and the combination of flavors was amazing. Also tried the spicy pickle margarita. The margarita had a pretty neutral flavor with a bit of a kick, but I enjoyed it. I would definitely come back here.
