The food was good... customer service was good... the food was hot

I never write reviews unless I have either a 5 star experience or a horrible experience. Well, unfortunately my first experience at this restaurant was horrible. My husband and I ordered smothered pork chops, salmon croquettes, country sausage, smoked sausage, grits, bacon, and biscuits. First off, nothing was seasoned. The grits were hard, the salmon croquettes were bland & seemed to have more breading than actual salmon, the pork chops & gravy were just not good. The bacon was hard to bite & chew. I didn't like either type of sausage but my husband said they were ok (although he didn't finish them and he's usually a big meat eater). I was hoping the biscuits would at least be good, but they tasted like baked flour and water. The jelly couldn't even save them. If it was just a couple things, I would never write a review, but everything was bad & it cost more than 50 bucks. This was a take out order, otherwise, I'd have complained right then and there. We were so disappointed ????

The food has always been good but I want to give my 5 stars to the waitress “Raquel”. This young lady was awesome. I wish they had more waitresses like her working all around. She was very attentive, fast, and friendly. She definitely is an asset to this location. Thank you to her and Jackson you have a ???? on your hands. Treat her right or I’m not coming back. ????. Seriously, all jokes aside, having her wait on our table was a breath of fresh air.
