J & R Mexican Food

I've visited twice now and the experience has been great. I've sampled every taco and tried a burrito, enchiladas, beans and rice. The tacos were excellent, probably the best thing I've tried here. There are 3 to choose from and they are reasonably priced. You really can't go wrong with any of the tacos. The pastor burrito was pretty average, but not bad. The pastor enchiladas were really good, but I didn't expect lettuce and sauce (sour cream?)on top. There's a little wait time as the food is being prepared, but service was good. Finally, I really liked both the red and green sauce, but the red had some spicy kick that I enjoyed more. I've only got food to go here.

Was less expensive than the menu initially listed. The flavor was good and portion was larger than I expected. I had a hard time finishing it all! I had the Al pastor burrito bowl. I loved that they don’t have the rice and beans in it so I didn’t need to ask them to remove it! lol

So happy to find this gem so close to home. Was not sure what to expect from this strip mall location, but was pleasantly surprised once we entered. Clean, cheerful atmosphere and friendly staff. Our food (tacos and empanada) were both generous and delicious. The handmade tortillas were amazing; soft and stretchy, but held up to the fillings. They offer 2 salsas (more sauce-like in consistency).A tangy green sauce and a spicier red. I usually go for heat, but I enjoyed both. Thank you J&R! We'll be back as regulars.
