J. Looney's New Orleans Culture Food Restaurant and Catering

This place was alright, I ordered the shrimp plate, catfish plate, and rib tips. I was aggressively disappointed with the rib tips texture and flavor. Catfish and shrimp were cool. The side were cool too but idk if I’ll be back here anytime soon but I’ll be back. Maybe it was an off day. The service was fantastic! The older gentleman working was kind and sweet :).

The food is EXCELLENT! Im from New Orleans so My bar was HIGH! I’m SO GLAD i ate here! The owner is such a lovely older man w/ great stories. I had the shrimp po-boy & fries. The shrimp was well seasoned. And it’s affordable. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK SOON!

The gumbo was really good. You could tell they used a rue & it was the right amount of spice. It didn't have okra but that didn't even matter because it was so tasty. I got the smothered pork chop, which was only 1 chop & other places give you 2. You're gonna want 2 because it was super tender & well seasoned. The red beans were like I remember them in New Orleans with the large red beans done soft. Cornbread & greens were OK, too. Plus, unlike some other places they didn't give you more pot liquor than greens.
