J. Alexander's Restaurant

Visited this restaurant with a friend yesterday. I had never even noticed it before, but I'll definitely be returning. We had the friend shrimp appetizer that came with 2 sauces. It was piping hot, crisp light, and flavorful. Next we got the crab cakes with fries. The crab cakes were awesome. The meat was delicious and flaky and didn't have a ton of breading. I can't remember our servers name, but he was awesome and attentive. I never had to ask for a refill because he would bring one at the right time. I absolutely love when that happens and it stand out because it's rare. We were too full for dessert, but I wish I'd gotten one to go. The manager Shaun came around and said hello and was very pleasant. This morning I awoke thinking about what I wish I could eat from there today. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms.

Had dinner with my fiancé last night. I made reservations, it was packed when we got there but, were seated promptly. We started with a glass of Honig Sauvignon Blanc and, had fried calamari. The New York strip was cooked too our liking and the mashed potatoes and good. I proposed at the restaurant during dinner, the vibe was just right. We will definitely be eating there again!
